Feather duster expected life span vs your experience

Love it! Do you broadcast feed any small particulates?
It might get some when I feed reef roids, but otherwise I don’t do anything special for it. It’s not a huge decorative one, but a lot bigger than any other hitchhiker fan worm I’ve seen.

Years to decades, I can't say I've paid much attention to how long the larger ornamental ones live but way, way longer than 1-1.5 years. I have seen smaller ones (I usually get Philippine species) gorw over several years so a life expectancy of decades seems a more likely expectation if properly cared for.

Going on 3 years with this one.

I love feather duster worms. I have a Hawaiian variety now that is probably a year old. Mine is in a medium flow area and sheltered by a ledge too.

That’s what I was thinking as well

I’ve had mine try and spawn once, I’d like to get a bunch of em and see if they’d actually propagate in the tank….
my one feather duster blew of sooo much steam he clouded the tank for hours you could hardly see through it, corals absolutely loved it lol
