Feather duster hitch hikers

Hi everyone

I just picked up this feather duster. While acclimating, a worm came out. Is it good to have or a bad pest. Also, how do you rid the feather duster of any other nuisances?

Common bristleworm. Good hitchhiker and nothing to worry about

In further investigation, more worms are come from the duster. These are reddish in color and smaller.
