This just popped out on a piece of live rock in a fairly new tank today.

It's a ball tip anemone.

They sting, but they're not a nuisance like the appy. Every blue moon you'll find someone where they become a pain in their tank with numbers, but not often. I think I can only recall 2. They don't use your light like appies do, so they are limited by other types of food and that's what keeps them in check. I've had them and I loved them. One day they were just gone :-(

With a little more looking I found two more on that piece of Rock both smaller. I do hope they survive they look nice

I've found 4 in my tank and a possible 5th. I love the look. They look very eligent.
