My wife picked up with frag for me a few nights ago and I noticed what seems to be a feather duster in the middle of the colony. I have seen it retract and expand mutilple times? Is it really a feather duster?
If it is do I need to remove it or can it stay? From what I've read these guys are good filter feeders but should I be worried about it harming the zoa colony because of where it is it?

I have three on a 8 headed purple candy cane and it hasn't harmed anything in the tank. it has multiplied to several on the rocks but they are cool to look at at night.... IMO. but I've only been in the salt side for about 6 months

it does if you can turn the frag and get a better picture I bet someone could yes for certain... but it does resemble the five I had..
