It's amazing how this tank has been up and running for 3 months and I'm still discovering new critters :) I definitely recommend live rock. Anyways, is this some type of feather duster and if so can anyone ID it? At first I thought it was aiptasia (I had one on another rock but I removed it and glued over the spot it was) but I noticed when the clown swam by it really quickly it sucked back into some kind of tube, and the tentacles look like a feather duster's. If you need a better picture just let me know

Here is a picture of it starting to come out of its tube thing. It's almost exactly in the center of the picture, slightly to the lower left. It is the ball of red/brown specks

No such animal as dumb questions. They are filter feeders so as long you feed tank it will find food. Can’t tell you breed. Only got 5 years experience so I’m still fairly new. Maybe one of the old reefers will chime in?

That could be it, the pictures look similar. It also looks like a coral barnacle and feather duster though. Are there any differences I can look for that maybe the camera isn't picking up?
The base of it is what made me think barnacle. Looked like it was coming from the shell. I would try to examine where it’s coming from and compare to pictures online. Hope you figure it out!

I don’t mean to beat a dead bush but the feather duster/whatever it is, is now larger and there are more of them. Does this help with identification?
