I recently added three Feather Dusters and was wondering what others have done for placement. I tried placing them where I wanted but as soon as they opened up they shifted with the flow.

What are some best practices for keeping them in place?

I placed mine pretty close to the bottom, and let them (over time...) glomp onto a piece of liverock and some sand. Seems to be working so far . . .

All three are close to one another, in a small "garden".

I find they like it best when they have something to hold on to. I've tried keeping them in the rocks about midlevel in the tank and they only last a few months. I've had the best success keeping them against the rocks and sand at the same time. Those are the ones that last the longest for me.

I will say that we kept about 6 in a pvc pipe like a bouquet for about 2 months and they did pretty well. Of course 2 months is no kind of time frame to tell if they would have done well long term. I just thought it was kinda funny. ;)
