Hi everyone! Curious if anyone has experience keeping feather dusters and tangs in the same tank. I have heard that tangs go after the FD’s and can kill them, but looking for more feedback from this (very) educated community.

i have a yellow tang, sailfin, chevron, purple and gem in my 150 gallon.

Thanks!

I think it's one of those, "it happens, but rarely" situations. I've never had an issue personally, but I know some reefers where the YTs went after the feather dusters and one case where a hippo decimated all the christmas tree worms in a tank. You're probably going to be alright keeping them together in almost all situations, but there are always individual behaviors that are hard to predict.

I would just keep lots of nori or other grazing foods available to put the odds even more in your favor.
