Feather dusters

I am assuming these are feather dusters.. I get loads of them growing in my sand. I am not sure if I should be disturbing them when I turn my sand for maintenance?

They are certainly growing if I leave them!

Thoughts?

I would leave them! They look great there! Wish I had some growing in my sand bed.
