Nope. Chalice corals are of the Pectiniidae family:

Echinomorpha
Echinophyllia
Mycedium
Oxypora
Pectinia
Physophyllia

However oddly enough, many of the popular "chalices" in the trade are Echinopora, which technically is not in the Pectiniidae family. I also have never considered a Pectinia a chalice but it is technically.

But I thought this family Pectinidae had been updated since then. Am I correct in thinking The Echinophyllia was moved from the family Pectinidae to the family Lobo Phylliidae. Which by the way Acanthastrea Echinata now resides. So according to the list you provided, Nautical Nathaniel's Echinata is in the family with the Echinophyllia (Chalice) or my Pectinia photo is the only Chalice in the family Pectinidae , ha ha. Only joking. Great photos guys. A Chalice is a Chalice only by name. Or am I completely wrong, would not be the first time, ha ha.

Based on molecular results by Fukami et al. (2008), Dai and Horng (2009) moved Echinophyllia and Oxypora to the family Lobophylliidae Dai & Horng 2009, and Budd et al. (2012) placed the remainder of the Pectiniidae in the Merulinidae Verrill, 1866. To date, the most detailed and updated overview of morphologic characters of Echinophyllia including micro-morphology is provided by Budd et al. (2012).

Oh no, my Pectinia has moved family as well, where have all the Chalices gone. Is the Pectiniidiae familly now defunct?

There are constantly people moving stuff around but it doesn't necessarily mean it's widely accepted. Let's keep it simple here and go with stuff that was sold with chalice in the name lol
