February Meeting!

Let's meet at my house in February on the 3rd Saturday of the month (i think the date is the 15th). 11am till 2pm. I'll have BBQ wings or something and you all can bring your drinks of choice and chips/cookies or something. I'll have sweet tea, but we don't drink sodas so bring something you like so you can take it home.

PM me for my address (i don't really want to post it in a public forum). I live in Ooltewah, so carpool if you can. My house is NOT childproof, so either don't bring toddlers/curtain climbers or plan on following them around every second to avoid them drinking the yummy Draino. And then you'd miss Bryan and Brandon picking apart my tank and any other general entertainment.

And sure, the house is a disorganized mess as usual, so don't expect anything special, but I'm happy to have you all come to see my tank.

How many horses do you have now Susan?

My 180 started to come apart at the seams. I broke it down & have been working on a paludarium (terrarium with a water feature) with the same footprint but 48" tall.

Still have the 3gal cold water tank & doing good. When the paludarium gets water in it & a little livestock would be happy to host a meeting here again.

I can't believe that Aaron is going to be out of town (since he was part of why we were going to have a Feb meeting so soon!! Do we want to hold off and do a March meeting or just go ahead. I don't mind either way.

If we are proceeding, the meeting is this Saturday (Feb 15th) from 11am until 2pm. I'll have wings or legs or crock pot meat balls to snack on. Maybe some chips and dip. Nothing fancy. Bring your own drinks since we don't do sodas. You can watch Bryan tear apart my tank (verbally) and Brandon try to defend it. Brandon cleans and cares for my tank because I'm lazy and I had a big tank disaster many years ago and don't want that to happen again..... I'll PM directions to everybody in this thread who might not know how to get here. Be aware that I'm not much of a housekeeper and there is some (ok, a lot....) clutter in several rooms. If you are OCD, you might want to pass up this meeting!

Jim, I have only one horse left, a donkey and a mule of my own. I have 2 boarding horses that belong to a friend of mine. I still can't believe you have given up salt water aquarium keeping!!! And what do you mean your tank came apart at the seams? Did you build that tank? I can't remember!!

I've cleaned out my mailbox, so I should be able to receive PMs now.

The silicone literally started to turn loose. I didn't build it, it was a brand name tank. Had to find a home for the discus fast & didn't have the heart to start over again with them. So I decided to do the terrarium thing.
