Febuary NARC meeting

I have'nt heard any chatter yet.Usually someone offers to host and we go from there.
Jason

Well I would host if everyone wants to help me setup the new tank..... Hehehe. But I am thinking it won't be until the end of febuary that I will be ready to do such a thing.

I really really miss the NARC meetings. And will try to come if you have one in feb.

That said we are building a new house to the tank(s) have to take a back seat for several months. :(

Mike have you found the tank you wanted?I may have some info on one this afternoon.
Jason

No I have not. Starting to lean towards the 280 or ordered one from glass cages as I can't get ahold of Ty. If I order one it will be 4 weeks and I am going to go starfire on the front. Unless I come across a deal that I can't pass up on like the 280.

And I have found some awesome rock from some guy in cullman that will fill the new tank nicely

another idea

I was also thinking of going to say Chattanooga and doing a tour of their reef club members tanks. I can rent a 10 passenger van and see if they are game. I have talked to a couple of them and they think it would be fun.

Brittney, there are no fee's.You just show up to a meeting. There is alot of good people in the club.It is very informal.

How much are the dues to get in the NARC we are newbies lol We would love to join!!

According to one member (Mariner) on RC the dues are $50,000 in small bills sent to him. You can send them to me instead.

Of just attend the meetings whould we have one.

Bob be nice and dont scare the new peeps away.....I dont want to have to put you back in your cage:sure:

There are no dues and we just get together..... I need some inputs from the locals as to what to do for the swap I might have my new 300 here but I dont think it will be ready for the build........ I have been put on a monthly allowance by my wife.

Now you be nice Mike.I have all kinds of ideas for the new tank, but you already know where I stand on that. The sooner the better.Let us know what day and what you want us to bring.
Jason

After talking with tomako and Jason looks as if it will be held at my home in ne Huntsville. I need some ideas about what we would like to do.

I was thinking we can hold a mini swap if y'all want.

We can all drool over the new tank and yes you all get to listen to me talk about this monster.

Give me some ideas I will smoke some chicken and pulled pork. What else feedback is needed.

Yeah Mike, try to take it easy on Beelzebub, he's still recovering from the gunshot wound in the head. (But I guess that'll teach him not to sass Verdel.)

Just to clarify about the dues. $50,000 is the correct amount, but we do accept checks made out to Mariner's Reef Ministry.
If anyone is planning on paying dues at the Feb. meeting, I'll definitely plan to be there.

Alright NARC members, I am thinking of the meeting on either Feb 20th or 27th need you all to let me know what the best date is.

I am hoping that by planning 5 weeks out we can get most everyone to show up. I would like to explore the opinion of holding a frag swap event here in Huntsville and maybe planning a reef tour with the other reef clubs around.

Either of those dates are fine with me. The first two weekends in February are Daytona races. I'll be glued to the TV then.
