Yawn... This has been predicted for over a year now. There is no such thing as a free lunch (money), the chickens are coming to roost due to unsound fiscal policy (giving away money as quick as we can print it).

I'm hoping this means they will be able to honor their overnight shipping again. If a bunch of folks stop buying stuff online (like clothes) and package volume drops then maybe it's a win for us hobbyists because fewer packages in the queue might mean our livestock will arrive on time (unless FedEx suddenly cuts employees/drivers).

They are going to lay off those folks before working on improving shipping times. FedEx works for the stockholders first. Remember, 95%+ percent of the operation does just fine on shipping times. Folks shipping livestock ON OCCASION doesn't even put a blip on FedEx's radar.
