Fedex saying package delivered when its not (2nd time)

Just wanted to share my experience since this is the 2nd time this has happened. This Liveaquaria order of fish and inverts is already delayed two days. I see now that the tracking shows delivered at 11:31AM, conveniently before their 12PM guarantee, but the package is nowhere to be found.

The last time this happened, I was notified that the package was delivered before 12PM to a different address. I went to that address not far from mine, and it was not even delivered over there either. Several hours later (like 3 or 4pm) the package magically appears on my doorstep.

When I call to address the issue, there's nothing I can do because the case is closed since the package is marked as delivered. How can I go about getting this resolved?

FedEx is the worst of the worst. Their drivers will often post as ‘delivered’ when they are still out for delivery, so you might get it later on today...

I go out of my way not to send/receive shipments with those clowns

Worse case (if it ends up lost) call the company that sent the fish and tell them what happened. They are still responsible for the package and fedex will have to show them confirmation of delivery. If they don’t take responsibility call your bank/credit card company and file a dispute to get your money back.

This happened to me last year. Delivery guy had taken it to same street number, different street...one block over...maybe get on ya bike and cruise the hood checking the identical street number. I know it sounds crazy, but that's what happened to me. My neighbor called me 4 days later because she had been out of town. She said this box says live fish on my doorstep and I don't know how long its been there but its addressed to your home. I went and picked it up from her doorstep and got back home. I expected it to smell awful.

I opened the package and viola!! That Blood Red Fireshrimp was still ALIVE!!! I couldn't believe it...he made it after 4 days in a box on a doorstep in south AL...crazy..

Sorry you’re dealing with us. I had this issue twice before, but both with UPS and not FedEx. I’d call FedEx back and push the matter more... I don’t buy the “it’s closed bc it’s been delivered.”

UPS and FedEx both have GPS tracking ability that can tell you where their drivers were at a particular time of day.... down to the minute. UPS helped track the driver both times and confirmed what address he dropped off the order. One package was dropped off down the street, the other was never delivered and accidentally mismarked by the driver as delivered.

Is FedEx not willing to help at all? Another option is to call LiveAquaria. They seem to have some leverage and helped push the matter with one of the lost packages.

I have had to go through questionable channels but usually arrive at talking to a human who can help. The issue is the drivers can easily mark a package as delivered so they don't miss a quota... Keep trying through customer service or contact your credit card company. At the end of the day they made a promise to deliver something and they didn't.

Fedex is only good for commercial deliveries where you see the same driver daily for years. I have all important things delivered to my office and FedEx doesn't play those F*** F**k games. USPS / AMAZON / UPS do it ALL THE TIME! I hope it works out for you.
