I was wondering if it's ok to keep powering off mp40, double cone, and cor20 using the surge protector when feeding. Will this degrade the electronics? Thanks very much.

I'm not really sure to be honest, but this is why I like just throttling down my pump through my Apex in the various feed modes instead.
Another reason is that if you shut off a pump, you really should glance at it before turning it back on. I've had times when I turned off a pump for one reason or another and a fish or some snails head into it like they're coming down the stairs on Christmas morning. I assume that means there's something in there they want and they typically leave after a minute or two, but you wouldn't want to turn it back on right then. Throttling it down reduces a lot of the flow but keeps it spinning so nothing can get in.
