I'm starting to think about what types of species I will eventually like to have in my 120 gallon mixed reef. I would expect to add these gradually over time, and would like some help with the order to introduce them as well as suggestions on another medium fish that may go well with those that I am planning to get (other than a yellow tang, that is).

Planned list:

1) Blue Throat Triggerfish (Xanthichthys auromarginatus) or Red Tail Triggerfish (Xanthichthys sp.)
1) White Tail Bristletooth Tang (Ctenochaetus flavicauda)
2) Semi Picasso Percula Clownfish (Amphiprion percula)
3-5) Blue/Green Reef Chromis (Chromis viridis)
1) Yellow Prawn Goby (Cryptocentrus cinctus) with pistol shrimp
1) Not yet determined species of wrasse

Thanks in advance for your feedback & suggestions!

Looks good to me! I would say trigger last since they are the most aggressive on your list. Also, the white-tail can be a bit more delicate than other bristletooth tangs so be prepared with lots of healthy food options. I'd highly recommend QT to get it healthy and eating.

Just for the sake of conversation, I would be concerned with your 5 chromis becoming one over time. For long term success, consider a single chromis and perhaps a trio of lyretail Anthias females for a schooling fish...Just a thought. I also wouldn't rule out the possibility of your Tang being the most aggressive, I would add him and the Trigger together and last.

It seems the Chromis discussion is about 70/30 between "They'll kill off one another" to "I've never had an issue", based on all that I've read on the forums. Anthias are definitely on the table as well, however, I'm concerned about the recommendations to fed 3-4 times per day. I may not always be able to accommodate that.

If you can feed 3x a day about half the week and 2x the rest of the week you should be fine with some of the hardier species of anthias.

My wrasse suggestion is a male melanaus. Not many green fish in the hobby and they're beautiful!

Everything looks good as said
