What do you all think of my first ever aquascape for my new 65g build in progress. It is 36x18x24. The lone island in the front middle will be for a Xenia frag (I know it grows fast but its pulsing effect is so cool). To the right will be future Zoa gardens. Beyond that will be a mixed reef. Difficult to see but far right is actually an arch that forms against the flat rock there.

Looks great to me with plenty of caves etc and areas for coral placement

And a very natural look that I like, with the lone rock

I would get rid of this area, breaks the scape up...

Agreed, I thought the same when I saw it too. Removing that portion would give a varying height and really increase and already good scape.

Also, just make sure that rock on the left isn't too close to the glass when it comes to cleaning.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried removing those areas and did not find the look appealing. Felt like there was too much empty space / void. The wife agreed it looked better with the portion staying so it is staying :)

Here is how it would like if I removed the middle 2 rocks as some folks suggested. It is not bad but due to the height of the aquarium (24"), it feels like too much void space. I decided I was going to wash the rocks (glad I did) so decided to snap the picture as I was removing the scape. Now to recreate it ....

sorry but that looks so much better, think off the fish swimming through the gap and corals growing into the space but what you think is the most important thing here.

Yea, I like that better too. You have to remember that space will fill in with whatever coral you choose to place there, and since its right in the middle it'll be eye-catching.

Also though, happy Wife happy life so her opinion > mine.
