I posted this in the Triton forum but didn't get any replies. I have a 350 gal display reef, up for about 3 years now. Making the switch to the Triton method and I am designing a new sump to replace my current one. The photo below shows my plan thus far. I have 2 overflows which will go into the bubble traps in each corner of the refugium. I also will tee off 2 pipes with shutoff valves to run into two 4 inch filter socks which will only run when I am cleaning the main display (stirring sand, blowing off rocks). Since I have limited door space to get the sump in, I have to divide the sump into 2 sections. I think I will need 2 durso's to keep the noise down to connect the 2 sections. The second will house my skimmer (Reef Octopus 5000 int) and 2 Avast spyglass reactors. It will end with 2 external Red dragon 80 watt return pumps. Any comments, criticisms, potential problems are welcome, please.

Love the idea of a modular sump. I almost did one when I couldn't figure out how to get a full size one under my stand.
You'll need another baffle in the second tank to keep a constant water level for your skimmer.
Are you just going to let the water fall from the first to the second or will there be additional plumbing?

Was going to plumb dursos to connect the two. I thought about the second baffle but space is limited since the skimmer is really large. My current sump doesn't have the second baffle either and I maintain the water level with my spectrapure uplc 2 ato. Not ideal, i know, but it keeps the water level to 1/10th of an inch.
