Who's running one here in Nashville? I'm interested in getting one and am looking for some feedback. I understand that they've been re-designed, and the new ones aren't out yet. Have also seen on the boards where some folks think they're a little cheaply made (at least the impeller cover). I'm running a Mag 7 now, but would like to have the flexibility to change the flow rate through my sump (and I realize I could put a valve on the return, but it's a gadget, and alot of this hobby is about gadgets/equipment). My chiller works better (and doesn't short cycle) when the flow through it is high. The heater(s) in my sump work better when the flow is less. The DC pump would allow me to change it seasonally, which is appealing.

I've got the Diablo 10500 running on my system since December and so far it's been a work horse. I've got it going full blast since I'm running 35ft horizontal and 5 ft vertical of head and a 4 way return manifold. More than welcome to come check it out anytime if you'd like!

While I have ZERO experience with the Reef Octopus pumps, there are several around the club running the Jebao DC pumps with alot of success. I have one running my closed loop and so far, in the 3 weeks ive had it, it works wonderfully.

There are a few of us running the speedwave 10000. It can be maxed out at 2600 gph and I have been very happy with it.

I will honestly say that all of them look exactly the same. And are probably all the same parts with just a different box. (Jaebo, speedwave, RO). I think you will be happy with any of them, but you will pay a little more for the RO because of the name.

Speedwave i got from Dale when i bought his tank took a crap 2 weeks ago! Not sure how old it was but did not get another. Went with a smaller Jabeo 6000 that works as well @ only 40W max
We shall see if this one lasts or back to something else more long lasting..

I am surprised to hear this Bill. Any idea what happened to it? A specific part?

Not sure Chris, Came home to it off and tried restarting it but it barely ran. I took it off and cleaned it put it back and never turned again. Power supply still had green light so guess it's in the motor block as the magnet and impeller look fine. Your guess is as good as mine.

I've got a diablo 5500. I really like mine. Only had it running for 5-6 months but no problems out of it.
