feeding a bi color angel

just a couple days ago, saturday, i picked up a bi color angel. i expect there to be some acclimation period where they are a bit shy and whatnot, so they may or may not eat easily. however, i am concerned that he want eat any of the seaweed paper i put in the tank. he has nipped off of it twice that i know of in the last 2 days,l but doesnt have any real interest in it. i want to make sure i dont starve him to death. since he is in a shy stage, he doesnt come out of any of the otehr food that i put in, so i worry here. thoughts on food options to entice him more, or anything? also, with that said, i generally dont like to keep food in the tank that wont get eaten for purposes of ammonia. will these seaweed sheets create ammonia as they sit in the tank, or are they good to sit through the day?

My bi-color ate New Life Spectrum pellets from day 1. I will occasionally supplement that with a small strip of nori or some frozen mysis or brine shrimp. Any protein added to the tank will eventually convert to ammonia, either thru digestion or by decay.

well, its day 3 now. he still has not really taken interest in anything. he picks at the rocks through the day, but he refuses to eat anything, that i have seen anyway.; i have nori tied to a rock where he nips the most, ignores it. tried frozen mysis, didnt come out to get any.brine shimp, same thing.

any other thoughts or suggestions? one issue i have is i have a diamond goby, so if i just leave anythign on the substrate for the angel to eat, it will just get eaten by the goby, and he keeps the substrate pristine, so thats not an option
