My tank has completed its cycle and is ready for livestock. If I am going to quarantine I am still 30 days minimum from adding fish to the tank. What will be the best way to keep the bacteria alive? I can dose ammonium chloride but how often will I need to do this? Will once a week be sufficient taken to 2.0? Id love to add fish but that would mean no quarantine and I am paranoid about not doing that.

They do not need to be fed in any way, keeping them wet keeps them alive bc they still attain all the food they need if wet

Every aquarist would still feed them anyway, but you don't have to. It's less organic loading algae priming to use correct microbiology and not pump extra feed in

A cycled aquarium cannot ever uncycle, for years and years, if merely kept wet. Conversely, you can cycle any aquarium just by adding water and waiting a few months, same dynamic allows them to self seed into the new system via contamination and feed anyway. Adding feed only alters the time variable to cycle completion, it has nothing to do with keeping alive once the cycle is finished

Here's a three year no feed fallow test passed
