Feeding a snowflake eel

I have a snowflake eel and was wondering what I should be feeding it, how much and how often? I am missing a bicolor dottyback and I fear that possibly my eel may of had it for lunch

We have a snowflake eel and we feed it raw shrimp every 2-3 days to keep it from eating our snails

Thank you! I have fed it silverside fish before but not sure if that is ok?

Snowflakes eat mainly crustaceans. Shrimp, shucked clam...I fed mine 2x daily until he was satisfied and went back in his hole.

Silversides are OK, but personally I wouldn't want mine developing a taste for fish.
I've read you can use squid or bits of octopus, but the ink can make them sick, so you really have to be careful in that respect.

I'll betcha it would get a huge kick out of the chunky reef frenzy frozen, if you could get ahold of it.

With fresh peeled shrimp, scallop, perch, tuna, clams, oysters, and Beta Carotene boosted E. Superba krill our "chunky" blend became so popular it now has it's own label and is a standard offering. Prior to that it was offered for service companies on a limited basis. Anyone can send me a PM for pricing and a detailed shipping quote. Thanks! (With only 3 weeks until MACNA we didn't have time to design a new label so the Hawkfish rocks this one for now.)
