Only feed what the fish will chase after over a 5 minute time frame. If there is any food at all left in the tank after the fish stop eating, that's too much food.

I have 7 fish in a 90g tank and the clowns and the cardnail are quite small. I only feed every other day. But my tank is more mature and has some natural food. If your tank is new, every day is fine. If you want to feed more often, then there should never be any food left in the tank when the fish stop going after it.

^^^What Ron said^^^

You have a lot of livestock ( some not really compatible in together) in a relatively small tank. In fact, probably double what I have in my 120! Please watch for waste buildup and do frequent largish water changes!

I would also try to add a variety of foods and rotate them daily.

Its not the worst. I feed >1/2 a cube and a pinch of pellets once per day. With about 6 fish in a 29g. I also rinse the mysis cube before i feed.

That being said I do 1, 5g water change a week. And make sure they either eat it all or scoop excess. If you want to feed more build up to it. Then find an equilibrium. Whatever they can eat in 5 mins is key.

Ok, thank you! Which fish would you say aren’t compatible (possibly the Demsel and clown pair?) I don’t have any issues with any aggression at all. Hmmmm.

I think he's referring to several species being aggressive and territorial. Everyone does this hobby differently. Doesn't excuse bad husbandry. Half the fun is building these habitats for ourselves.

IMHO, even one maroon clown in a 50g tank is pushing your luck. As they mature they will harass and likely kill most of the rest of your fish. If they actually decide to make a nest, the entire tank is theirs. And they will draw blood (yours). Unless the Damsel grows up quicker. FWIW - Damsels and clowns are in the same family. Having 5 in a 50 is a problem waiting to happen.

If you have a top of some sort on the tank it will prevent the firefish from jumping. Otherwise they'll be on the floor. The hawk and the YWG may do ok in there.

You also have 22 assorted corals and anemones in there. As they grow in it going to get very crowded. The chalice especially is a fast, aggressive, grower. The favia need plenty of space to prevent it's sweeper tentacles from stinging other nearby corals (6" minimum in every direction) In addition, you have a mix of soft and hard corals. Without aggressive skimming and the use of carbon, the turpines that the softies use as a defense mechanism will stunt the stony corals.

JM.02 your mileage may vary

Please don't release those clowns in that tank with the maroons.. i usually never tell someone not to add a fish, but in this case the gladiators will die. Probably very quickly

Thank you everyone!

again, the gladiators are NOT in with my maroon pair. They’re now in there own tank and very happy
My Maroon pair are actually pretty mellow, they hardly ever leave there anemones actually. I often times wish they were more active.
