Feeding BTA shrimp — shell on or shell off?

I have a BTA that I’ve been feeding a small piece of raw shrimp every couple of days. For some reason I’ve been taking it out of the shell. But of course this isn’t how it would be in the wild. Wondering for those of you who feed your BTA shrimp if you feed it with or without the shell

When I feed raw shrimp it's shell off, soaked on selcon.
