What does everyone feed their chalices? How often do you feed them and do you spot feed? Do you feed your other corals such as sps corals the same thing?

I have a few sps but recently I acquired the Miami hurricane and the bubble gum monster and I want to give them every opportunity to grow. Any houghts would be greatly appreciated.

I used to feed them, not anymore my fish learned to steal the food away from them so it was a losing battle even at night my crabs and snails would smell the food and the same thing, nice pick ups on the MH and the BGM very nice growers and also very hardy, good luck.

I feed mine 2 times a week, after the lights go out, with the vortechs off, on a frag rack so nothing can steal from them. I feed mysis and frozen cyclopeez, they seem to appreciate the special feedings.

i made a home-made mix which i feed to corals and fish. fresh scallop, shrimp, squid, cyclo-peeze....
i don't feed anything to the sps...fish poop takes care of that.
2 or 3 times a week.

I feed my chalices every other night with Rods food, but I have been thinking of using a home made blend or running the rods through a food processor. The chuncks in it are too big for most chalices mouths to eat. I target feed this while the pumps are off, many chalices eat slow so I give them around 2 hours to munch. I would have to assume that my chalices are happier with the more rounded out diet of the rods food compared to using only pe mysis or just a few types of food.

Many people just broadcast feed instead of target feeding. I don't have any fish so this would be like polluting my tank and not feeding my corals, that why I target feed
