I have been target feeding my corals (mostly lps) reef-roids and oyster-feast alternating between the two 1-2 times a week. My question is how long after I have fed the corals should I leave pumps off? I have been leaving them off 15-20 minutes but it seems like when I turn the power-heads on I see a lot of coral mucus and the food within it break off and float in tank. I don't care about the leftovers in the tank just want to make sure I am leaving the power-heads off long enough to allow the corals to feed.

Should I be leaving them off longer? Is this not enough time for the corals to feed?

Thank you

I usually do 10-20 mins. on a broadcast feeding for mine. Gives my LPS/chalices enough time to fill up.
