Ok forgive my ignorance but are you not supposed to keep your phosphates down I have mine at 0
as said before this reply, you should not keep your nutrients at zero, corals love some dirty water. I noticed when my phosphates get near zero my lps and sps coral are not happy at all.

Train your fish to poop right over top of the selective corals

The zero P recommendation comes from back in the day when phosphate kits had a higher range. What that really meant is that your phosphate levels should have been low enough to be undetectable. With the ULR Hanna checkers, you can now see phosphate levels of only a few parts per billion or hundredths of parts per million.

I only feed my fish. The only corals I feed are scoly's once a week.

Po4 <.1 and no3 <5.
As long as you feed your fish heavy po4 at close to zero is ok, imo.

Remember that no3 and po4 levels that we test for are whats left over from what our export system is not removing.
I also only feed fish. Was talking with my LRS and I think a change of fish food would help

I just received a Hanna checker from my secret Santa. I’ll have to learn how to use it so I can keep an eye on that. Thank you

i use to go with Reef Roids until i realized it sent my phosphates thru the roof, for the last year i have been using Benepets

I have read the same issue here more than a few times. I have never used "Reef-Roids" myself so I can't relay any personal experience. I spot feed with Benepets a couple times a month.

I like to target feed my Goniopora reef roids. I broadcast feed it too. Best food for corals might be fish poop. I feed my fish mostly DIY frozen fish food I make from stuff I buy at the fish counter of the grocery store.

Forgot to mention I also feed live phyto. I forgot about it because it is dosed every day via dosing pump. I keep a jug of mixed home-grown tetraselmis and nanochloropsis hooked up to the dosing pump along with some LED lighting to keep it alive for about 10 days as the jug runs out. I have been propogating those two separate species of phyto for years in separate hatches. Seems to keep the glass cleaner on the DT too.

I did change fish food yesterday to the frenzy. Hoping the will help

I don’t know about best, but I broadcast feed my LPS and softies Seachem zooplankton twice a week. Seems to work for me.
