Say something like my micromussa, and other LPS with many polyps is in important during feedings to make sure every head closes and gets some? Or does the Colony benefit from what the heads that get food recieve?

I think it depends on the coral. I had a lot of good success with feeding each head of the Micromussas I had. After all, each head means a mouth/stomach, which means the colony benefits greatly when each head is fed.

Tubastrea, I'm fairly certain you actually have to feed each head. Same with Non-Photosynthetic LPS.

The colony benefits. The ones that dont get food are slaves persay and will get nutrition from the neighbors if you want to call them that.

So something like the micromussa that has a bunch of little tendrils do those grab some micro nutrients or are they not eating unless I see the polyps close?

LPS I figured. I feed my Corals every 3 days and the dendro gets its own target feedthe acans usually get suspend fed (no pumps) then the scoly same till it opens then it gets a Lil mysis squirt.
