Feeding Experiment -- shrimp in a net bag

Thought I would see what happens when putting a frozen cube in a net pouch I made for Nori --rather than thaw the cube in tank water and then serve with a turkey baster.

Seemed to work just fine as it thawed slowly and released the shrimp -- leaving the pumps on seems to allow the fish a more "sporting" chance to capture their food (perhaps similar to their natural habitat).

Will try this a few times more and report back on the success or failure of this approach.

So, after a few feedings using the net bag I find it far superior to using the turkey baster approach.
The food thaws slowly being released into the water column slowly as well -- giving more time for ALL the food to be eaten -- and the fish seem to feed more naturally.

I've seen these but haven't tried one. I've got 2 of the magnetic algae clips and use them daily.

Sorry for the delay in responding. It's a simple approach exactly like the one posted by Jason. I had some netting attached it using very small zip ties. Hope the pic helps.

Quick update:
Some frozen foods do not easily pass through the small mesh. Perhaps that's the benefit of the Octo FFF unit which appears to allow the food to float and dissolve and fall without any hindrance.
