I am aware that you need phytoplankton or zooplankton to feed Feather Dusters, but how much do I need to put in my tank. My tank is 10 gallons. Also, how often do I have to feed them. If you have any experience of keeping these inverts, I would really appreciate a few tips and tricks for caring for the Feather Duster.

I usually feed a capful every other day per 25 gallons, but the dosing may depend on what type of phyto you use and what else you have in the tank.

Well, since I have a 10 gallon, I do about half the cap twice a week. I use Reef Phyto Plankton by Seachem. I also have Live Phytoplankton by Ocean Magik, but I haven't used it yet. I'll attach a few photos of what I use.

The only things that would eat the live phytoplankton are the feather duster and a soft coral I still haven't found the name and type of. But, I know that most corals need some type of microscopic food, so it should suffice.

I culture my own phyto and put anywhere from 50-200ml a day into my ~35 gal tank. Can’t give an exact measurement because I just kind of dump it into the tank and sump but I get crazy multiplication of my micro feather dusters. I love phyto lol

Just feed your fish heavy is enough to keep them fed. Don't rinse frozen food, dump all the liquid in. Broadcast feed some coral food couple days a week will help too. But with 10 gallon tank, just be more careful at overfeeding.

Nice. I was thinking about culturing my own, but I shall let the local pet stores just do it, lol.

Thanks for the tips.

Can I feed them reefroids?

I am not sure, maybe you should create a post asking that. I'm sure you will get many responses.

I just feed mine half a cap full of phytoplankton twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays.
