Hey guys how often do you feed your fish? Everyday with frozen food or Every other day with frozen and a mixture of pebbles in between days? Let me know.

I feed 3x per day. I have a rotation of various foods (mostly frozen) that I feed morning and evening and then a fish feeder that feeds an assortment of pellets in the middle of the day. This doesn’t inclilude feeding dry seaweed on a clip 3x per week, or coral food 3x per week (fish eat that too).

How many fish do you have ?

I feed 2x a day, afternoon and evening. I feed them Hikari brine shrimp (alternate omega and spirulina) for lunch and Reef Frenzy soaked in selcon for dinner.

Does this ever make your ammonia high ?

My tank consumes a huge amount of food. 12-15 cube equivalents per day, spread over 3-4 feedings. Nori, pellets and varied frozen. Over 100 fish in a 450. You just have to have sufficient nutrient export mechanisms. Ammonia is not the problem.

every other day I feed about a 1/3" x 1/3" cube into the biocube, and a 1/2" x 1/2" cube into the "display" which is a 40 breeder for the moment.

I have 84 gallon with 5 fish in it, and an assortment of corals. I usually feed 1 cube (not full size, frozen sheet cut into squares) in the morning and evening (evening soaked in Selcon). I also usually do a nori sheet in the morning. I feed coral food once daily (Reef chili one night, oyster eggs the next). For a long time I was trying to raise nutrients from 0. I have them above zero now and rising, but not high enough that I need to cut back.

On my 90 gallon with 5 fish, I feed a small chunk of LRS Reef Frenzy 2x a day and seaweed 1x a day.

From 4 to 9pm small amounts 4-5 times. Mix of several different frozen foods and nori. I have between 20 and 25 fish. A very different assortment from marine betta to jawfish to deep water anthias.

I feed my tanks inhabitants up to 6 times per day 5 feeds are small quantities of pellets, flake, liquid suspension pods, live pods, live brine shrimp, nori, reef roids, phyto, liquid coral feeds, Quantum Bio-enhance, and a 5 or 6 cubes of frozen mix of copepods lobster eggs, red plankton, brine shrimp with garlic, mysis, krill, and a marine mix per day. I have 15 fish plus corals and shrimps hermit crabs etc. Phosphate is 0.004 and nitrates are high at 10. System is 280 litres.
