I’m on round 3 with some wrasses now... I want these guys to make it soo bad (haven’t been able to get one past QT). They seem healthy, just got them yesterday, eating well but hiding 95% of the time. A pintail, blue flasher, and carpenters in a 30g. I added a thin layer of sand to help them settle in a bit.

I want to go easy on these guys, but I think I’m dealing with flukes and I’m assuming intestinal parasites. I’m going to avoid copper unless I see a reason to use it. The blue flasher has a little fleshy protrusion on the bottom of his jaw. Not sure what it is but it doesn’t seem to bother him (attached -an albeit terrible - picture below). The carpenters is twitching his head every now and then. The pintail is hiding so much I can’t really observe him very well.

So my question is - is there any harm in feeding them GC (bound with focus) and underdosing GC into the water column? I’m thinking a scoop of focus+GC plus a full packet (which only treats 10g) or will that just cause whatever’s in the tank to survive and proliferate? Since I’m feeding them I don’t know if that would have an effect on how much they’re getting in their system so I don’t want to overdo it. Should I feed them daily or every other day?

Also from what I’ve noticed, GC seems to be larger granules than metroplex and I notice more power going into the water when it’s fed than metroplex.. basically I’m just afraid to overdose it and kill my fish and I can’t handle the thought of these guys not making it either!

It should work. You can also just try prazipro.
