When I feed foods soaked in selcon I noticed most of the selcon just dissolves in the water. I don’t think my fish are injesting the optimum amount of selcon. Today I did something different. I mixed a little gelatin with the food and selcon, cooled it for a while and when I fed I did not see the selcon dissolving in the water column. It seemed as though the fish were eating all the selcon bc of the gelatin binding it to the food.
i used to feed things that were gel based like formula 1 and 2. Now that I live outside the US and have limited access to things I wonder if making my own food using gelatin to bind it so my fish take in all the nutrients is the way to go. Anyone else use this method when they make food or feed?
