I recently QT'd my only two fish (pair of clowns) and am wondering if I should still be dropping a small bit of food in my main tank for my inverts? Just 3 nassarius snails and a blue hermit that i assume are feeding off of left overs from normal fish feedings (others in tank are eating algae. I dont want the hermit to eat the snails or the snails to starve as i wait out the 80 days of Ich QT.

I have been every 2-3 days but just wondering if i'm adding nutrients for no reason.

Nassarius are detrivores and will do fine on fish poop.
Hermit might attack the snails whether it's hungry or not.
Most hermits will eat algae so probably not starving.

Since there is no longer fish poop (all fish in QT now) will the crabs/others poop enough for the nassarius?

Ya i know the Hermit may go rouge at some point. Didn't know he would eat up algae too. I dropped a dozen shells in when i got him to try and lower aggression, seems to have worked (he's swapped shells like 10 times and hasn't murdered anything yet). I did see him mount one of the giant trochus snails i have once, it shook him off and it threw him over a foot into the rocks, hasn't seemed interested since, lol.
