Will doI just checked my bottle (bought recently) and it says the same thing: 5:1.Let me know how Seachem explains the discrepancy.

Did you ever get up with Seachem to find out about that discrepancy? I am contemplating dosing some meds and I have a mixed reef and can't catch the fish ailing... Thanks

I did not I'm sorry, didnt end up needing to use it. Please let us know if you talk to them though.

So I just called Seachem and they have verified that it is definitely 1 (one) scoop of Focus to 1 (one) scoop of kanaplex mixed into the food. It is ok to freeze it.
The reason for them changing the directions is that they did additional research and found that 1:1 is sufficient. No change in the chemistry so older bottles can follow the new directions.

Thank you for this. Currently treating a trigger with minor Popeye in one eye in my DT trying to see if feeding him Kanaplex and focus in his krill daily will take away the Popeye without having to put him in QT. He’s one of the first fish in the tank and has been there for a year now so I don’t want to take him out if I don’t have to especially cause I don’t want him coming back and getting bullied after he’s healed. I’ll do the 1;1 ratio and see how it goes.

put him in an 8” acclimation box to make sure he gets the krill dosed with Kanaplex, focus, selcon and vita-Chem. Anyone know if this will work? I think he has Popeye due to injury at feeding time fighting with other fish
