Feeding live foods in QT?

I recently purchased a six line wrasse and have it in QT. I am curious what everyone does for live foods in QT when its been treated with copper? I have some nano brine and posiedons feast coming from algae barn tomorrow for my main display,coral QT and to feed the new wrasse in his QT. Im just wondering what others do and if they'll survive long in copper treatment. I would like to start the wrasse on live foods while I attempt feeding GC+Focus/PE mysis for internal worms and parasites. I started it in copper at 1.0ppm and am going to raise it up over the next 4-5 days.

I feed my picky eaters White worms. Your live food should do just fine in the copper for the short period of time they will be in there.

I kind of thought so too. thanks for the input.. I was quite pleased to see him eat a few of the mysis I gave him that has been soaking in CG +focus. He had a long trip and I was concerned he'd not have an appetite for a bit.. I tossed 2-3 in there and he gobbled em up.. Tomorrow I'll start upping the copper.

Buying the Hanna checker last year, when I last tried this process, has given me a real confidence boost in my QT ability.

New Wrasse is doing very well in QT. Been slowly upping the copper in the tank and in a few days ill be on target then the timer can begin.. dumped a few scoops of nano brine in the QT for it to chase around and munch on in between feedings.. I've been feeding medicated mysis twice a day and I plan on that for 14 days. there is a white dot on the false eye spot on the wrasses tail but its unclear at this time if its an ich spore or not. Otherwise he seems quite healthy so far.

I purchased a live brine hatchery from BRS and ordered Brine eggs from Algaebarn this week to start my fish eating more live foods.. My 6 line has been in copper at 2.02ppm for about 12 days now and is quite active but getting it to eat anything I've thrown into the tank has been unsuccessful. I did add baby brine and some posiedons feast to the QT in the few days that I was raising the copper levels up but I have yet to witness it actually eating.
With the addition now of the hatchery and putting live baby brine into the tank daily I feel I have a better chance of getting it through the entire QT period. My question is how long do you guys feel that the brine will survive in the treated tank? would they stay alive long enough to be properly hunted and fed upon or do they die right away? Thoughts? Opinions?
Perhaps these are good questions to post on the Nutrition forum..

I personally would only use live food as a last resort as. Who knows what is in the water the live food came from. Maybe it is even in a closed loop with other fish. Kind of seems it partly defeats the purpose of actually quarantining. Just my 2 cents.

The stuff from algaebarn comes from tanks that only house that particular copepod and artificial SW. not sure what would come into with the water that the copper and other QT treatments wouldn't cover.. as for the baby brine Im hatching them myself with my own freshly made SW. so nothing coming in from there either.. Im not sure of any other way to get a finicky fish eating. I have not had any luck with flakes, pellets, or PE mysis. Baby brine Im confident it will eat as well as the rest of my fish in the DT.

I di scoop a little tank water out of the QT into a clear glass bowl and noticed baby brine and some pods swimming around in the water so there is food aplenty in there for it to search out.. I fed the tank yesterday. apparently they ARE quite resilient little critters..
