Hello guys. I have a 600gal tank that's got tons of frags, SPS LPS and Softies mix. I also got some Dendros, Suncoral etc.

beside feeding benereef and other coral food. I've recently started feeding live food. Phytoplankton and now Rotifier.

I'm seeing a lot of coloring up after using live Phyto.

Question on feeding Rotifier. the directions for feeding is 3x the amount of phyto (10-20ml per 10gal vs 5ml). Does Rotifier need to be fed in such huge quantity? is there negative effect to overfeeding live food? the Rotifier sellers say no harm from over feeding. I'm mostly concerned if it could bring up Phosphate or Nitrate etc.

I do not think it is a huge risk of rising PO4 and NO3 much by the rotifers but check the nutrient concentrations in the water that comes with them and also do it for the phytoplankton.

Sincerely Lasse
