Hi all,

My refugium grows chaeto like crazy. So I though maybe I'd dabble in growing some other macro in my sump to feed the fish in the DT.

Bio load: 5 Chromis, 2 Clowns, 2 Banggai Cardinals, 1 Convict Tang, 2 Sand sifting stars, a crew of snails, 1 cleaner shrimp, and a handful of corals... Tank is 6mos old.

Is chaeto a viable food source, or is there a good beginner macro that works better as a food source?

Thanks!

As they said, chaeto is pretty unpalatable. Hit this guy up for good quantity and price on Ulva Lactuca and Gracilaria Parvispora.

I have a kessil H160 tuna flora led algae grown light currently keeping my mangroves happy. Just wondering what is "bright lighting for a fuge"
That will work fine. We had a sump full of sea lettuce (~1.5lbs) and red ogo, put in maybe an oz of red ogo and when we broke down the tank (about a month later) we took out a giant ball that was about 8oz.
