Feeding Macro to Fish

Does anyone do this? I started to grow chaeto in my sump. If it manages to thrive, is it a bad idea to feed some of the harvest to my foxface. Not sure if he will go for it or if it's not recommended to do.

My tangs eat chaeto. I don’t feed them nori at all, they are super healthy. I’m not sure if the foxface will eat it though.

Gonna try tieing a small chunk to a rock someday instead of nori and see if he shows any interest.

The foxface nipped at the chaeto! He seems to prefer the nori but does seem interested in the chaeto.

You could try out red ogo or ulva/sea lettuce. Foxfaces seem to really like these

I grow 8-9 gallons of red ogo in the sumps of my tanks in about 2 weeks. I feed it to all of my tangs and foxfaces. As well as my goats lol (not gonna throw it away). Red Ogo does not last long once it goes into the display. The blennies ensure not a single missed piece floats around for long.
