Seen a reefer talking about feeding his Og Bounce the other day so I decided to give it a shot!
Not my bounce this time but I did get a couple ricordia and my magic carpet to eat!
Medium sized mysis shrimp! So cool to watch!

My ricordea Florida never really show any feeding action, my Yuma’s do though. It’s fun to do a time lapse video of them eating.

That green mouth one in particular will stretch up almost like a flower cupping the sun light during the day at different times. So I said what the heck and dropped a shrimp in and sure enough almost instantly it gobbled it up.
Super cool man post up a time lapse video!

Couple after dinner shots!

Believe it or not my wife got my JF Gobbstoppers Zoa to eat yesterday!

Too cool! What is that running along on the sand next to the coral in the first video? I almost looks like a roach...

Those are nassarius snails. They live in the sandbed and once foods in the water they come out of hiding and go crazy for a bit then go back into the sandbed a few minutes later. They are fast movers too, obviously not as fast as they look in the video, but are very fun too watch during feeding time.

Just wanted to photo bomb your video haha

The common hairy mushrooms that a lot of people have. I bought one and have 12 or so now. They caught a couple pellets and this happened. I was shocked. I’ll try to hit them with mysis next time, those probably taste better than pellets

I got Frank to eat after lights out!

Got Minecraft to eat as well. Totally different effect I wasn't expecting just opened up wide and engulfed the shrimp was too fast to catch it! Here she is after the meal!

Working on OG now she started to close up but think I scared her with the light.
Either way she has the food in her grip!

So, do they smell the food and then pop up? I will have to get one of these!

Alright so I got pretty much all my bounces and ricordia to eat at this point. Just got done doing some cleaning. Turned off flow and target fed Red Sea A and B. Got a pretty good response from Jawbreaker.

I have several different species of shrooms. Question is what is your experience in getting the rest of these guys to eat? Will they eat shrimp? What do they prefer? How do they eat?

I've been playing with feeding my shrooms a little. Noticed an instant reaction to reef roids for some shrooms that dont seem interested in mysis shrimp. Low flow, turn it off if you can and they will close up and eat. Mysis shrimp, reef roids. Even noticed them making the same reaction when I dose amino acids. Which hasn't been much.
Gotta ask. And I dont care if you message me the numbers.
But what are you running your Nitrates and phosphates in your shroom dominant systems?
