Feeding NPS Corals (Sun Coral)

I have a sun coral and I wanted to start feeding it. I saw a post from reef builders about feeding them outside the tank. I would like to try this and wondering what would be the best food to try/ let them marinate in?

I personally think that moving them in and out of water, considering temperature and light changes, causes excess stress. A fairly easy solution is to use half of a water bottle or 2 liter depending on the size of the frag, and place it over top of it like a dome. Then, spray the food in through the opening and close the lid it keeps fish from stealing the food and flow from blowing it all away.

I agree with @Strawberry. I would use a cut 2 liter bottle to feed them if you are having issues with the tanks inhabitants trying to eat the food before the sun coral has time to eat it. Sun corals love mysis shrimp as well as other small meaty foods. It is also very inportant to feed them daily or they will never thrive.

I would just use a large syringe, pipette, or turkey baster to feed the sun coral. Once they learn when the food is in the water they will open up and you can feed them at that time.
