I have a very young tank. 30 gallons, 1 clown, 3 small coral frags. I've heard to be frugal when feeding so you don't fuel an algae outbreak or some other unwanted outbreak. But I'm wondering should I overfeed a little bit so that my corals can get some food? I haven't purchased anything to target feed my coral with yet.

You can target feed your acans normal food. But all the corals are at least photo synthetic so they'll be able to live off of your lights alone for a time. I recommend using reefroids or something in the future to feed your coral.

I feed enough to keep my nitrates in the 2-5ppm range and phosphate in the 0.03-.1ppm range.
This, poop, and light is all the food coral require.
