ok so I should be getting some reef roids in he mail today and plan on feeding once a week to start off in my 36g. Should I target feed any of my corals
Yuma mushrooms
Torch
Duncan
Pulsing Xenia
Bullseye mushroom
Green star polyps
Hammer
Branching frogspawn
Rose bubble tip anemone

How often do you feed

Ya, feed slow. I fed every other day and I started getting GAH and a nitrate spike. Now I feed once a week when the lights are off.

A post online people were saying reef roids killed there torch hammer and frogspawn

I’m thinking about just broadcast feeding. So reed roids nano will not harm my hammer, torch, frogspawn, bubble tip

Stop pumps/ powerheads and target feed if you want, or you can do anyway you feel works best for your tank. I feed little something every other day. One day a week I turn off all pumps and target feed. Other days I just turn off the return off and leave the powerheads on to circulate the foods. From what Ive read most filter feeders are more actively looking for food at night so I normally try and feed at least once a week when the lights have been off for a while or feed in the early morning before leaving for work. A timer or controller makes it a little easier to feed later at night or morning when Im headed out the door shortly there after. I alternate ReefRoids, BRS Reef Chili, and Coral Dust- Zoa/Ricordea food.

Like everyone has said, start slow and keep a check on the nitrate and phosphate levels, if levels start to rise take a break from the feeding for a few days since the uneaten food to breakdown and impact these levels. If you notice detritus buildup piling up around rock bases try to increase the flow or direction and feed a smaller amount of the food at a time.

Larger corals, like Acans, Euphyllia, Lobos, and including Anemones I try to use a chunkier food like the frozen krill, shrimp, marine cuisine, or the like. If you have clowns hosted by the anemone they will normally feed it for you from what Ive ever seen. Kind of like you'd pay a body guard, protect me and Ill feed (pay) you.

Fed RR for years and no harm that I could pin down to Euphyllia has occurred.

Says 1/4 teaspoon for 25g I have 36g should I just round over the 1/4 spoon and call it good

I feed polyp labs amino 10 min prior to reefroids, everything seems to open up nicely waiting for roids.
This stuff does work great. I only feed it once a week. I no longer target feed my hammers or torch, they slimmed up really bad when I did it the first few times. I target feed my sps and softies and then dump the rest in the tank.

Well did my first dose of roids earlier I think I may dose two times weekly. How long till you see a big change in size and color

Why would my gsp close up after feeding I didn’t spot feed them

I am having trouble feeding my ricordias as the fish are fast and are robbers. Is there a food that they would eat faster? Do you guard them while they eat? Haven't had any success in feeding them and they are shrinking. Any ideas?
