Still kind of a newbie, I want to make sure I am feeding enough. I have a 72 gallon with 2 clowns, 2 Cardinals, 1 diamond goby, 1 six line wrasse, 1 yellow Tang, 1 coral banded shrimp, 1 star fish, about 8 turbo snails, 1 urchin, and 15 hermit crabs. As well as 10 or so frags of various corals. I feed half a cube of frozen every other day alternating with pellets, I drop about 10 to 15 pellets in, only the clowns and the bottom feeders eat them. I also do a pinch or two of flakes here and there which everyone seems to like. Every 3 days I hang a 1 in by 1 in square of nori for the Tang. Occasionally I will drop a pellet on some of the corals.

Thoughts?

I don't have much algae in my tank so I feed my 2 tangs and 1 foxface two 2"x 3" sheets of nori a day. To me it sounds like you are underfeeding them unless you have a large number of copepods/amphipods and algae for them to graze.

Thanks, are you just talking about the Tang or everything?

I would say everything but then, I am a heavy feeder. I feed a piece of LRS fish frenzy every night along with pellets by auto feeder in the middle of the day. If your fish look healthy you could be fine.

Maybe I'll bump it up a little and see, it is my understanding that corals like a little nitrate, I've been reading 0 pretty consistently.

They do need some. Most people consider 3 to 5 to be on the low end without being ULNS
