I currently feed my RODI from my pressurized house water supply through a booster pump to the filters. I’d like to switch to feeding from an unpressurized holding tank so that I can off gas excess CO2?. Do I need some kind of feed pump ahead of the booster pump or will the booster alone be sufficient?

Also, I wonder can I use rain water as feed or is that unwise?

Aquatec 8800 Booster Pumps do require a minimum of 20 PSI to operate. Not having proper pressure feeding the booster pump will cause poor performance, and void the warranty.

Watch the latest tidal garden youtube video where he shows off the new building. He talks about his rain water collection. Theres little parasites or little living creatures in rain water so he has to run chlorine into the water to kill the germs and then it runs through another filter to take the chlorine out.

So my guess is rain water isnt safe unless you filter it properly.
