So I've been trying to feed my Scoly when I feed other corals and I'm having trouble triggering a feeding response... See the below video. I have seen this guy opening up a little when the lights are off...

Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

Mine lets me know when hungry. Usually a couple hours after lights go out. Tentacles extend much further than those in your picture.

When I feed my scoly I usea finer food...Polyplabs reefroids. I find it is a great food that will trigger a response anytime I feed. I tend to do it when my blues are only on and here is a pic of the response.

Yeah I’ve fed it reefroids before too and it seems like it’s eating them. Still not getting a response like that though.

ive only had it a couple weeks so maybe it’s still settling in.

Very possible. I mean the coral looks super healthy I wouldn't worry too much about feeding it unless you are not getting the colors you want! Another thing you could try is shutting off ALL flow and hitting it with either the juices from your frozen fish food or reefroids as a stimulus and then feed the bigger mysis or whatever else you wanna feed.

I never have gotten a response when I've tried LRS or mysis. I've had success with Fauna Marin LPS pellets though with and without lights. I do turn off my pumps. Maybe try a few different foods to see if you get a different reaction.
