I grew all my corals from 3/4-1" sticks and I have never added anything other than fish food. I'm reading about EasySps food and am wondering if I should try it or keep doing what I have been doing.

Ha! Seems to me YOU should be telling us how to do it, your tank looks great!

It doesn't seem like you need it - all your acropora look healthy and colorful! But I don't think it would hurt to try it, it would just be another source of food for them.

What are you feeding now?

Corals have a mouth, and they feed constantly whether you actively feed them or not, it never hurts to feed. Small polyps will readily feed on phytoplankton (as many species as you can find) and small particle foods. Yours look great though, keep it up!

From my understanding, WWC does not feed, they just have a bunch of fish and feed them a bunch. I guess they advocate the efficacy of fish poo.

Your tank looks great. And your corals look great. I am a big advocate that each functioning aquarium is a system. Once you get one running well, it is best to not change unless you have a very good reason.

I feed fish about 4-5 times a day frozen mysis, spectrum pellets and flakes. Also Nori daily for my Tang and Foxface

I agree with others you're doing things just fine. That said try it if you want to!

I appreciate everyone's comments. I do have the I have to try things bug so I ordered some of the EasySps food. I will have to monitor what they say about actually lowering phosphates as mine are .03 using Hanna ULR and my nitrates are just detectable at 1 with the Nyos Nitrate test.

To often people buy into things they don’t need when they’re having great results. I would stick to what works. You’re doing great kid

Wow! Really nice reef you have made. Everything is looking really good and colorful.

I would not worry about feeding the corals in your case. If looks like they are doing very well and are getting all they need to thrive already. Just feeding your fish well can provide sps with all the foods they need. Fish poop the OG easy sps food!

I think that feeding 4-5 times per day is the key to your success. That's just like what WWC does but they feed 6 times per day. It's that constant supply of available food that the corals like.

Since the easySPS can go on a doser you could split the dose up into multiple doses throughout the day/night to further provide a constant supply.

You could also increase the variety of Fish foods you feed. Other options include: Rod's Food and LRS Reef Frenzy. Could even mix in some Reef Roids with the fish food a couple time per week.
