I got a new tang and she’s still adjusting to the tank. I can’t get her interested in nori but she eats pellets I got for her and mysis
Are these pellets healthy for her. Ocean nutrition formula two pellets

can take them a while to realise nori is good food given time they will love it ,just add a clip a few times a week /daily later and leave it be . Algae, seaweed is important part of the diet unless you have plenty for them to eat in the tank .Those pellets contain some but is mostly meaty .

Hey, my hippo tang wasnt interested in nori at first either but after introducing other tank mates who ate it and she witnessed them eating , she began eating it. Other good veggie pellet options are seaweed extreme, and Omega one makes a kale flake. Frozen food wise I give my tang brine gut loaded with spirulina. Another thing I just remembered doing that also worked was to try ripping your nori up into bite size pieces and feeding it that way. Best of luck!

I had a peace in tank took it out and bashed up a little in my fingers and put some in she ate a few little peace’s

How are you feeding the nori? For a tang, that is where they will get most of their nutrition from. Tangs will pick at rocks grazing all day, have you tried to rubber band it to a piece of rock? If its only interested on shrimp right now you can feed them spiralina brine shrimp as the shrimp are gut loaded with seaweed before they are frozen.

I feed my tangs one sheet of nori daily. They seem to prefer the red nori over the green nori, but I alternate. I roll the sheet into a tight cylinder/cigarette shape and then zip-tie it to a rock, and drop the rock on the sand. They attack it, but it takes them a while (hours) to finish it off.

My biota captives raised yellow Tang wouldn't eat it clipped. I had to read it and float it with a power head for him to eat it
