Still Learning the best way to feed my Nano. YWC has gotten better with a free Feed. Currently Every 2-3 days I feed them well. Tanks fairly new and it’s also a Nano so I’m trying to do it Sparingly. YWC gets about 3-5 Pellets of New Life Spectrum. Pistol grabs a few too. I may go to once every other day.

I had a few really small hermit crabs in the tank. Never saw them again. I know Pistol Pete capped them good as I heard a few snaps under the rock. They probably wandered down a dark hole. Any suggestions while the tank and Live Stock breaks in.

Never wanted those Hermits. I never by them that small. So I was okay with it lol.

A couple of feedings is perfectly fine.
Assure they get a variety. Frozen brine, flake, mysis shrimp, etc
Feed what they can consume within 3-5 minutes. if theres still food floating around- too much

YWC was looking thin but they both finally got competitive. So that’s why I asked. Another thing I wanted to do.

So My wave Maker and new heater come in tommorrow. Controllers are going on the wall. Currently I do shut the return pump off to let my guys eat other why’s filtration likes to suck it up. I’m thinking about cutting one of those cords and wiring in a toggle switch to kill the pump. Currently I have a switch on the surge protector but bending down is getting old.

I can handle the wiring but I have never done this before with an aquarium pump. You guys have a better idea?

Plan is both Wavemaker controller and Temp Controller right above tank on wall. Then cut the return pump cord wire in toggle switch. Unless you guys got a better idea.

Yes- Do not cut. Simply plug into a timer and have the timer go off , lets say 6pm and go back on at 6:10p

Ignore the mess. Tank is set up and establishing. Now it’s time to make things pretty and function and easy on me lol. The stand is a cart. So I was thinking controllers above tank.

Theirs gotta be some kind of switch I can hit that I can mount. That’s kinda what I’m going for with the wounders of command strips. Lol trust me I’m like this with my TVs surge protector too. But tommorrow I’m planning on cleaning things up and mounting everything. Doing a half switch outlet so no buddy switches the light off with the tank etc. Havent done any of that yet. I wanted to get it running. Now it’s time to make things a bit
More permanent and clean.

Biocubes I fed pump on this thing. You can’t do it lol.

I say timer as , if you go away, it will still work in your absence whereas a switch needs physical person to control it
An automatic feeder and youre set

Thought about a cheap auto feeder. I could dreamel out a space and get the food to go right through the existing feed hole. Cats got one of those. That’s not a bad idea.

Might go AI Prime on it anyways. That’s too be decided. Not fond of the stock light. Ain’t bad but it’s a heat generator and it’s one switch to go blue or white. It’ll work on a timer. But Biocubes had two switches a coral life timer and power strip made that easy. This tank not happening.

I bought Kasa Power strip, or you can get single outlets. Then you can program it to turn off power at a certain time or you can use the app on your phone to turn off the outlet when you want. I used velcro from amazon to stick it to the back of the tank.
