Feelings on grape caulerpa?

10 years ago when I left the hobby I had tons of grape caulerpa, I literally pulled out 4 fistful a week and threw in the backyard because it grew so fast. I notice most people run chaeto and i have no experience with that. Other than the caulerpa going sexual, what is the issue with it? I never had that issue, no die off ever and I had the same colony of it for 10 years.
