Feels like fake grass

Not sure what this is. Any help would be great. It popped up one day. If it is growing it is super slow. I tried Google lens but nothing matched.

Looks like some type of cheato .
similar to what’s growing in my sump .
I have had similar to this growing in my dollar tanks . As well as a wiry reddish colour .

When I read dollar tank I was slightly confused lol. I will start researching cheats while others chime in!

If it is stiff to the touch you might want to research wire algae in addition to chaetomorpha

Personally, I wouldn't want that growing in my display. Looks easy enough to snap off. Do you have a refuge?

Not at the moment. This is about the size of a nickle and is growing ever so slowly.

Looks like Cladophoropsis (green wiry algae), which is in the same order as Chaetomorpha. The article below recommends manual removal with a dental pick:
